Electric Mobility
Electric mobility is revolutionising the way we think about transportation and industrial operations. By harnessing electric power, eMobility solutions offer a sustainable and environmentally friendly alternative to traditional fossil fuel-based systems.
EnquiryPowering new mobility solutions
For the past 10 years MSS International has closely followed the development of electric platforms for many car manufacturers (OEMs) as well as assembly manufacturers (Tier 1, 2 and 3). Working according to the IATF 16949 accreditation, we develop, test, manufacture and deliver a large range of complex shaped plain and insulated solid busbars in addition to plain and insulated laminated flexible busbars all made from Copper ETP.
MSS International has made significant strides in the electric mobility sector by providing precise components that are integral to the functionality and efficiency of electric vehicle bases from the full platform to the inverter and charging sockets.
We understand the design and costing constraints, our innovative solutions are designed to meet the highest standards of quality and reliability, positioning us as a trusted partner in the transition to a more sustainable future.

Busbars for battery packs, inverts and electric motors
Busbars play a critical role in the efficient distribution of electrical power within electric vehicles (EVs). These components act as central hubs, facilitating the transfer of high currents between the battery and various electrical systems, including the motor and auxiliaries.
The precision and reliability of busbars ensure optimal performance and safety, enhancing the overall efficiency and longevity of EVs. The innovative use of laminated and hybrid busbars allows for improved thermal management and reduced electromagnetic interference, which are essential for the high-performance demands of modern EV platforms.
01 / FAQs
How much copper is there in an EV?
In an electric vehicle, the amount of copper used can vary, but on average, an EV contains about 83 kg (183 lbs) of copper. This includes copper used in the electric motor, battery, inverters, and wiring, highlighting the critical role this metal plays in the functionality and efficiency of electric vehicles.
Is Copper material the best route for Electric Vehicle manufacturing?
Copper material remains a superior choice for electric vehicle manufacturing due to its excellent electrical conductivity, durability, and thermal performance. Its use in components such as busbars, motors, and inverters underscore its vital role in ensuring the efficiency, reliability, and longevity of EVs. While alternatives are being explored, copper's proven track record and the ongoing innovations in its application suggest it will continue to be integral to EV technology for the foreseeable future.
